ABOUT US

Lymphoma UK began in 2008 and was set up in memory of Karen Jane Ingram, a mother of two from Portsmouth who sadly passed away in July of that year from Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, aged just 40. The charity was founded by Karen’s son Tom, who didn’t want his mother’s death to be in vain and with a desire to prevent another family from going through a similar situation.

In 2020, we were granted charity status by The Charities Commission for England and Wales and set out to realise our dream of advancing medical research into lymphoma blood cancer. We do this by providing grants to medical researchers who undertake clinical cancer trials to see which treatments are most effective at beating the disease.

We are proud to be run entirely by volunteers who give up their spare time to help run the charity, keeping our overheads to a minimum and ensuring every penny we raise can be donated towards clinical research.

It is hoped through Lymphoma UK that we can create a brighter tomorrow for all those who’ve been affected by this terrible disease.
